What we believe

Software should be an asset, not a liability

Most agency work leaves a client worse off than it found them. A codebase only one person understands. Infrastructure that cannot be reproduced. Documentation that exists but is wrong. A contract that makes leaving expensive.

We started Quorix because we kept being called in to fix exactly that, and we were tired of it. So the way we work is built around removing those traps: infrastructure described in version-controlled code, decisions written down as we go, a named engineer you can actually reach, and every asset in your name from the first commit.

We are deliberately small. Everyone who talks to you also does the work. There is no junior delivery arm, no account manager between you and the engineers, and nothing subcontracted out from under you.

We also say no. If the right answer is a four-thousand-pound fix rather than a sixty-thousand-pound rebuild, or that you do not need to build anything at all, we will tell you on the first call. It is the cheapest work we do, and it is the reason clients come back.

How we operate

Six commitments we hold ourselves to

These are statements about how we work, not claims about outcomes. Any client can hold us to them.

  • You own everything from day one

Repository, cloud accounts, domains and third-party services are opened in your name at the first commit. There is no licence to negotiate later and nothing to unwind if we part ways.

  • A named senior engineer, not a rota

One accountable lead runs your project from scoping to launch. You get their calendar, their direct line and their weekly report — not a shared support inbox.

  • Working software every two weeks

Every sprint ends with a demo on real staging. If a sprint ends with a slide deck instead of working software, we have not finished the sprint.

  • Written decisions, kept as you go

Architecture decisions, trade-offs and scope changes are written down with reasoning as we work. No archaeology, no relying on anyone's memory a year later.

  • We will talk you out of it

If the right answer is a small fix rather than a rebuild, or that you do not need to build at all, we will say so on the first call. It is the cheapest work we ever do.

  • Security and compliance treated as build work

OWASP-aligned review, GDPR technical measures and ISO 27001 / Cyber Essentials readiness are handled by engineers, not deferred to a checklist at the end.

The process

What working with us actually looks like

  1. 0130 minutes

    Discovery call

You describe the problem and the constraint. We ask about your users, your deadline, what you have already tried, and what has to be true for this to be worth doing. You get a straight read on whether we are the right fit — including when the answer is no.

  2. 023–5 working days

    Technical scoping

We go through your existing systems, constraints and integration points, then write a scoped proposal: what we would build, what we would explicitly not build, the assumptions we are making, and a fixed or per-sprint price.

  3. 031–2 weeks

    Design and architecture

Architecture decision records, data model, and — for anything with a UI — an interactive prototype you click through before a line of production code is written. We agree on how the system should behave before we agree on how it looks.

  4. 04Two-week sprints

    Build in sprints

Working software on real staging at the end of every sprint, with a demo, a burn-up chart, and a running list of decisions we made and why. You can change direction between sprints without it becoming a crisis.

  5. 051 week

    Launch

Staging promoted to production behind a reversible switch, with monitoring, alerting and error tracking live before traffic arrives. We run the launch with you rather than handing you a deploy at 5pm on a Friday.

  6. 0630 days included

    Handover and support

Repository, infrastructure, domains and third-party accounts transferred to your name. A recorded walkthrough, a written runbook, and 30 days of fixes included. After that, a retainer if you want one — but nothing obliges you to.

Come and talk to us

No pitch deck, no discovery fee, no obligation. If we cannot help, we will tell you who can.
